Testing process
How every result is created
Every VPN × platform × region combination goes through a three-phase process. Results are never based on a single test — we repeat them continuously.

Automated availability test
Each VPN is tested against every platform in every supported region. We log in, start playback, verify the geo-region. The result is binary: works or doesn't.

Manual edge case verification
Results with unexpected values, new platforms and changes in VPN detection go through manual verification — automation catches 95%, human review handles the rest.

Continuous database updates
Platforms constantly update VPN detection. Popular combinations are tested every 48–72 hours, less popular weekly. Changes are reflected within 24 hours.

StreamFix is free and requires no registration. We are funded by affiliate commissions. Here is exactly how it works and why it doesn't affect our results.
Affiliate commission on VPN purchase
If you click a link and buy a VPN, we receive a commission from the provider. The price doesn't change for you. We always display the same price as on the VPN's website.
Ranking is by score, not commission
The VPN with the highest test score appears first — regardless of how much they pay. A VPN that doesn't work with a specific platform won't appear in that result at all, even if it pays more.
We test all — including those without affiliate
The database includes VPNs we have no affiliate relationship with. If they perform best for a given platform, we show them. The goal is clear: give you a working result, not just sell.
Affiliate relationships are always disclosed
Every link leading to a VPN website is an affiliate link and is labeled as such in the footer. You're going to a third-party website with its own terms — we recommend reading them.

Why is this VPN missing from recommendations? Despite an affiliate relationship, we don't show it for Netflix USA — our tests showed Netflix currently blocks it. We'll show it again once it works.

Automated tests run continuously — popular platforms like Netflix or BBC iPlayer are checked multiple times a day. Less watched platforms are tested weekly. If a change occurs, the database is updated within hours.
Streaming platforms constantly update the list of VPN servers they block. The test result captures the state at the time of testing — a change may occur between the test and your login. That's why you see the last test time.
We primarily test platform availability as a whole — login, catalog loading and playback start. For major platforms like Netflix, we also verify which regional catalog is available.
Yes — and we greatly appreciate it. Every result page has a "Report problem" button. User reports complement automated tests and help us catch changes faster.
Using a VPN is legal in most countries. Streaming platforms may prohibit VPNs in their terms — in that case you risk at most account cancellation, not legal consequences.
