How to Watch EE TV outside the UK: VPN Guide 2026
EE TV brings live channels, TNT Sports, Sky content via NOW, Netflix and HBO Max into one guide, depending on your package. That guide, with its smart search and watchlists, won two CSI Awards in September 2026. EE offers it only to EE Broadband customers. The app is designed for the UK, so to watch EE TV outside the UK you need one extra step. A VPN with a UK server changes your virtual location, so your channels and sport play anywhere just like at home.
That covers EE customers on vacation in Florida, contractors on a Texas posting and Brits who kept the contract running back home. We recommend Surfshark: it connects to a British server in seconds, and on an Apple TV 4K or the EE TV Box Pro, TNT Sports Ultimate goes up to 4K HDR. The app streams on two devices at once, so the match can be on your laptop while a show plays on the kids’ tablet. Your EE contract stays as it is.

Quick answer
Can I watch EE TV outside the UK?
Yes, as long as you have EE Broadband with an EE TV package back home. The app and web player are built for the UK, so connect Surfshark to a British server before you open them. From there, depending on your package, TNT Sports, Sky Cinema via NOW and HBO Max are right at hand on your phone, tablet or laptop.

Steer clear of free VPNs. Most of them actually collect and sell your data, lack proper security audits, and can even expose you to malware. They’re also useless for streaming. Platforms block them instantly, leaving you with more headaches than solutions. Stick to paid VPNs with verified audits, like Surfshark, if you want something that actually works.

Who’s behind the service?
What is EE TV
EE TV is the pay TV service EE offers its broadband customers, pulling live channels, TNT Sports, Sky content via NOW, Netflix and HBO Max into one guide. Watch on the EE TV Box Pro, the EE TV Box Edge or an Apple TV 4K, or on iPhone, iPad, Android, Fire TV, Samsung TVs and the web. On vacation, a VPN with a UK server lets you open TNT Sports and NOW in the EE TV app.

Tips & tricks you should know
5 tips from our EE TV testing team · Updated October 19, 2026
- Before you fly, download the movies you've bought or rented in the EE TV Store inside the EE TV app and watch them offline on the plane.
- Register the devices you are taking along before you leave: your EE TV account holds up to four, so your phone, tablet and laptop are ready when you land.
- EE TV packages can be switched, so when sport starts pulling you away from box sets, consider moving up from an Entertainment package to a Sport one.
- No tablet handy? Open the EE TV web player in your laptop’s browser and the guide is right there.
- We recommend Surfshark with a UK server: TNT Sports and Sky content via NOW then unlock in the EE TV app within minutes.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before subscribing to EE TV.
EE TV is billed monthly on top of EE Broadband, with packages from ≈ $22.72 a month on a 24-month contract. Expect a one-time activation fee of up to 30 GBP, 10 GBP a month for an extra box in another room and a 2 GBP increase every March 31. The VPN is a separate subscription: Surfshark is paid on its own and has nothing to do with your EE account.
Install a VPN, connect to a server in the United Kingdom, then open the app or web player. The VPN changes your virtual location, so TNT Sports, Sky Cinema via NOW and your live channels play anywhere just like at home. We recommend Surfshark, with British servers and apps for phones and computers. With Surfshark running, you are set up in a few minutes.
No. Every EE TV package requires a new EE Broadband contract, and EE doesn’t sell it standalone or for free. If your home internet comes from another UK provider, you can’t add it. If you already have it, though, all you need abroad is your login, the app and Surfshark on a UK server.
The EE TV app streams on two devices at the same time, and you can register up to four. On a trip, that easily covers the kids’ tablet and your phone. Traveling as a bigger group? Agree on who watches when, because a third screen won’t join the first two.
You can install the app on iPhone, iPad, Android, Amazon Fire TV and Fire tablets, plus Samsung TVs from 2017 onward. At home it sits alongside the EE TV Box Pro, the EE TV Box Edge and Apple TV. Before you fly, download it and sign in while you are still at home.
Yes. EE has a web player, so a laptop and a browser are enough. You can also connect the laptop to a hotel TV over HDMI. Switch on Surfshark with a UK server before opening the player, then put on TNT Sports or a movie from Sky Cinema.
Today’s EE TV launched in December 2023 as the successor to BT TV. Since October 15, 2026, BT Broadband customers have the service under the BT TV name again, with a new app, while EE TV stays with EE Broadband customers. The technology and lineup are the same; the name simply depends on who supplies your broadband.
The range runs from entertainment to full sport: Netflix with ads, HBO Max Basic with ads, Sky Cinema and more Sky content through NOW, plus TNT Sports. On the sports side, EE lists the Premier League, the Champions League and Formula 1. The packages are called Entertainment, Entertainment Plus, Sport, Sport Plus and Full Works.
The top is 4K HDR, for TNT Sports Ultimate on the EE TV Box Pro and Apple TV 4K. On a phone or laptop, your connection does most of the work. Away from home we recommend Surfshark with the fastest UK server you can find, especially for live sport.
Movies you buy or rent in the EE TV Store can be downloaded in the app and watched offline, which is handy on a plane. Live channels and sport stream in real time, so abroad you need a connection and Surfshark on a British server for those.
YouTube TV is a live TV service for viewers in the United States. EE TV is British pay TV for EE Broadband customers, built around UK channels, TNT Sports and Sky content via NOW. If you already pay EE back home, you don’t need a second subscription in the US for your British channels: the app plus Surfshark is enough.
The guide brings live channels, Netflix, HBO Max and Sky via NOW together, so you search everything in one place. Build your watchlist at home. On the road, connect Surfshark to a UK server and pick whatever you are in the mood for.
