Terms of Use of the Web Application

Short version

Before you dive into the details, here is the gist in a few sentences. StreamFix is a testing and information portal. We test streaming platforms across 193 countries worldwide: how they work, what content they offer, and whether they remain accessible from abroad. Alongside that, we recommend a suitable VPN service for protecting your privacy when you connect to the internet internationally. We do not operate a VPN, we do not stream content, and we do not sell subscriptions.

Roughly nine-tenths of our content covers streaming platforms (availability by country, subscription types, catalog), with the remainder dedicated to technical comparison and reviews of VPN services. All data comes from publicly available sources. Third-party trademarks are used solely for identification.

We never encourage unlawful behavior or the circumvention of any third party’s terms. Every decision about how to use our information rests with you, and the responsibility for it is yours, not StreamFix’s.

Global reach, Czech base. These Terms are governed by Czech law and at the same time respect mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you have your habitual residence (Regulation (EC) 593/2008 Rome I, Article 6) and the local copyright framework (EU, USA, UK, Australia, Japan, and others).

What StreamFix does and does not do

To prevent any misunderstanding, here is exactly where the boundary of our service runs.

What we do

We test and compare streaming platforms across 193 countries worldwide: we verify how they work, what their content catalog looks like, how they behave when accessed from abroad, and how reliable they are.

We publish technical reviews of VPN services, focused on parameters such as encryption, jurisdiction, server count, results of independent audits, logging policies, and user experience.

We aggregate publicly available pricing and subscription data for the individual services. Conversions to local currencies are calculated using current ČNB reference rates and similar reference sources.

We provide educational content on how streaming platforms and VPN services behave technically.

What we do not do

We do not operate a VPN, we do not offer our own servers or encryption tunnels.

We do not stream content, we do not host video, audio, subtitles, or links to unauthorized sources.

We do not run a payment system and do not handle your card or banking details.

We are not a reseller, distributor, partner, or sponsor of any streaming platform or VPN provider.

We do not facilitate contracts between you and any third party. The contractual relationship is always formed directly between you and the specific service provider, on that provider’s own terms.

Where our data comes from. All of our information is sourced from publicly available materials: providers’ official websites, press releases, public registries (such as trademark registries), independent security audits, and generally verifiable technical parameters.

The nature of the content

StreamFix content is built on the basis of testing streaming platforms and VPN services. We verify how the platforms work in individual countries, what content catalog they offer, how they behave when accessed from abroad, and how reliable they are. The output takes the form of comparative reviews, technical analyses, and informational guides. The content is not a manual for breaking any law, for circumventing any third party’s contractual terms, or for unethical conduct.

We do not encourage the circumvention of security measures of any web service, reverse engineering, intrusion into computer systems, piracy, the bypass of technological protection measures (DRM), the sharing of protected content via peer-to-peer networks, or any other unethical or unlawful conduct.

We describe the capabilities of VPN technology (such as encrypted tunnel, change of public IP address, traffic obfuscation, split tunneling). The mere description of these capabilities in no way implies that we encourage them in specific situations that could conflict with the law of your jurisdiction or with the terms of a particular service.

Information evolves quickly. The availability of a particular title on a streaming platform, the success rate of a specific VPN against geographic measures, or the price of a subscription can change even within a single day. We update content reasonably, but we do not guarantee its instantaneous match with the live state of the market.

VPN and geolocation

This section is essential for properly understanding both the nature of VPN technology and your own role.

A VPN serves primarily to protect privacy and to secure network communication. Typical legitimate reasons for deploying a VPN include:

Encrypting traffic on public Wi-Fi networks (cafés, airports, hotels).

Protection against tracking by your internet service provider and against tracking on the web.

Secure access to corporate systems or to your own bank account during business or personal travel abroad.

Protection of journalists, activists, and dissidents in authoritarian regimes.

Prevention of price discrimination by dynamically personalized web services.

Changing the geographic location of your public IP address is one of many technical consequences of using a VPN, not a purpose that StreamFix recommends. If you decide to use this technical consequence to access a streaming platform outside the region for which the content was licensed, you do so on your own responsibility.

Before using a VPN to change geolocation, consider: (a) the vast majority of streaming platforms prohibit circumvention of geographic restrictions in their terms of use (for example, Netflix Terms of Use, Section 4.3; Disney+ Subscriber Agreement; HBO Max Terms); breach of those terms gives the platform a contractual claim against you, (b) some jurisdictions regulate or prohibit the use of VPNs (for example, China, Russian Federation, United Arab Emirates, Belarus, North Korea, Iran); physical presence in such a state may be subject to local rules, (c) circumvention of technological protection measures may give rise to civil or criminal liability (in the Czech Republic, Section 43 of Act No. 121/2000 Coll., the Copyright Act; in the USA, 17 U.S.C. § 1201; in the EU, Directives 2001/29/EC and (EU) 2019/790; in the UK, the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988; in Australia, the Copyright Act 1968; in Japan, Act No. 48 of 1970).

It is your sole responsibility to verify, before using a VPN, that your intended use complies with (1) the terms of the specific streaming platform, (2) the copyright framework of your jurisdiction, and (3) the law of the state in which you are physically located. StreamFix accepts no liability for how you choose to use the information published on our site.

Unacceptable use of the site

When using the StreamFix site, the following conduct is prohibited because it disrupts our operations or circumvents our security measures. Specifically:

Automated downloading of content (web scraping, crawling) beyond ordinary user use and contrary to the limits set in robots.txt.

Circumvention of rate limits and protective mechanisms.

Reverse engineering, decompilation, or any attempt to reconstruct the site’s source code.

Unauthorized access to the administrative section of the site, or any attempt at such access.

Denial-of-service attacks, injection, session hijacking, or any other interference with the availability or integrity of the service.

Misuse of the contact form for sending spam, fraudulent communication, or mass messaging.

Misuse of affiliate links by artificially generating traffic (click farms, bots, repeated clicks without genuine interest in the service).

Use of StreamFix content to train generative artificial-intelligence models without prior written consent and beyond the rules set in robots.txt and ai.txt.

Legal consequences. Unauthorized access to a computer system may give rise to criminal liability under Section 230 of Act No. 40/2009 Coll., the Czech Criminal Code, and its equivalents abroad, in particular 18 U.S.C. § 1030 (USA, Computer Fraud and Abuse Act), the Computer Misuse Act 1990 (United Kingdom), the Criminal Code Act 1995, Part 10.7 (Australia), and Act No. 128 of 1999 on the Prohibition of Unauthorized Computer Access (Japan).

Your obligations toward third parties

By using information from StreamFix, you accept responsibility for complying with the rules and rights of the third parties with whom you will subsequently be in a direct relationship.

The terms of any VPN provider you choose (Terms of Service, Acceptable Use Policy, logging policy).

The terms of streaming platforms you use (Netflix Terms of Use, Disney+ Subscriber Agreement, HBO Max Terms, Prime Video Terms, Apple TV+ Terms, and similar with other providers).

The copyright law of your jurisdiction. In the Czech Republic, Act No. 121/2000 Coll. In the EU, Directives 2001/29/EC (InfoSoc) and (EU) 2019/790 (DSM). In the USA, 17 U.S.C. § 101 et seq. In the UK, the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. In Australia, the Copyright Act 1968. In Japan, Act No. 48 of 1970. In other states, equivalents apply.

The law of the state in which you are physically located at the time of accessing the internet, including any rules governing the use of VPNs.

StreamFix in no event assumes responsibility for your relationship with third parties or for the consequences that may flow from a failure to meet their terms or from a breach of copyright.

Relationship with streaming platforms and rightsholders

Because a substantial portion of our content concerns streaming platforms, we devote a separate section to their position.

Independence and absence of partnership

StreamFix is not a partner, distributor, reseller, sponsor, or representative of Netflix, The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. Discovery (HBO Max), Amazon (Prime Video), Apple (Apple TV+), Paramount Global (Paramount+), or any other streaming platform mentioned on our site. There is no economic or contractual relationship between us and these entities, except for the ordinary consumer position we may take when verifying publicly available information.

Nominative use of trademarks

Names and logos of streaming platforms and VPN services are used solely in a nominative (referential) capacity, that is, to clearly identify the service we are reporting on. This practice is supported across multiple jurisdictions:

Czech Republic: Section 10(1)(c) of Act No. 441/2003 Coll., the Trade Marks Act (limitation of trademark effects for indication of intended purpose, such as accessories or spare parts), and Section 10(1)(b) (descriptive use).

European Union: Article 14 of Directive (EU) 2015/2436 and the relevant case law of the Court of Justice of the EU, in particular the judgments in O2 Holdings (C-533/06), Gillette (C-228/03), and L’Oréal v. Bellure (C-487/07), which set the boundaries of nominative use and comparative advertising.

United States: the doctrine of nominative fair use established in New Kids on the Block v. News America Publishing, 971 F.2d 302 (9th Cir. 1992), and subsequent case law.

United Kingdom: section 11(2)(c) of the Trade Marks Act 1994 (referential use to indicate intended purpose).

Use of a platform’s name, logo, or other identifiers in our content does not imply consent, partnership, sponsorship, or any economic relationship with the owner of the relevant trademark. All rights to trademarks and logos remain with their original owners.

Testing and informational role

Service testing, comparative reviews, and technical analyses that StreamFix carries out and publishes are protected by the guarantee of freedom of expression and freedom of information:

Czech Republic: Article 17 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms (Resolution of the Presidium of the Czech National Council No. 2/1993 Coll.).

European Union: Article 11 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.

Council of Europe and United Kingdom: Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights, incorporated into UK domestic law by the Human Rights Act 1998.

United States: the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.

Notice-and-action procedure

If a copyright holder, a trademark owner, or any other authorized person considers specific content on the StreamFix site to infringe its rights, they may contact us at privacy [at] streamfix.io and provide:

Identification of the right allegedly infringed (trademark name, description of the copyrighted work).

The exact URL of the disputed content on StreamFix.

Proof of authorization (power of attorney, evidence of ownership of the right).

Contact details of the notifier and an electronic statement that the information provided is true.

We will process the notice within ten business days. For the duration of the assessment we will, out of caution, hide the disputed content. This procedure satisfies in parallel Article 16 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (Digital Services Act) and 17 U.S.C. § 512(c) (DMCA notice-and-takedown).

Affiliate relationship

For full transparency about our business model: we receive affiliate commissions from individual VPN providers for clicks that lead to a VPN purchase. Commissions are our source of revenue in lieu of charging our users.

For you this carries no financial impact whatsoever. The price you pay at the provider is the same as if you had purchased directly on the provider’s site.

The order of recommendations on StreamFix is not driven by the commission rate or by any other economic interest. We use independent technical criteria, results of third-party audits, and user experience.

We do not accept payment for positive reviews or for distorting our ratings. All reviews are editorially independent.

This block itself constitutes material disclosure within the meaning of 16 CFR Part 255 (FTC Endorsement Guides as revised on 29 June 2023), 16 CFR Part 465 (FTC Rule on Fake Reviews and Testimonials, effective 21 October 2024), Directive 2005/29/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council on unfair commercial practices, the UK CAP Code, and equivalent rules in other jurisdictions.

Intellectual property

StreamFix content (review texts, the structure and ordering of information, graphic design, the site’s source code) is a copyrighted work protected by copyright law. In the Czech Republic, by Act No. 121/2000 Coll. Abroad, by equivalent national laws building on the Berne Convention for the Protection of Literary and Artistic Works and the acts of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

License to the user

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view StreamFix content for your personal, non-commercial use. Within this license you may read the content, share a link to a specific page, and quote within the scope corresponding to the concept of journalistic or scientific quotation under Section 31 of Act No. 121/2000 Coll. and its equivalents abroad.

What the license does not cover

Bulk copying, redistribution, or publication of substantial parts of the content on other websites.

Automated data collection (scraping, crawling) contrary to robots.txt.

Training of machine-learning and generative artificial-intelligence models without express written consent, with respect for the rules set in robots.txt and ai.txt.

Any commercial use of StreamFix content.

Third-party trademarks

All third-party trademarks (Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, Prime Video, Apple TV+, NordVPN, ExpressVPN, Surfshark, and others) remain the property of their respective owners. We use them solely in a nominative (referential) capacity on the basis of Section 10(1)(c) of Act No. 441/2003 Coll. and its international equivalents listed in section 7. Logos and names come from publicly available sources (owners’ official websites, public trademark registries). No economic or contractual relationship with the respective owners arises from their use.

No warranties

The StreamFix service is provided „as is” and „as available”, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

We do not guarantee that a particular VPN service will, at any given moment, successfully access a particular streaming platform. The success rate of a VPN connection changes practically daily and depends on the platform’s detection measures, the current configuration of the VPN, and a range of other technical factors.

We do not guarantee that the prices, catalogs, or regional availability shown are completely current at the moment of your visit. We update content regularly, but the dynamics of the market move faster than any update.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the site, error-free operation of affiliate links, accuracy of automated tools (geolocation, savings calculator), or compatibility with your browser or device.

We source data on platforms and VPN services from publicly available sources and process it with the diligence of a reasonable operator, but we do not guarantee unconditional completeness or accuracy.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by the applicable law and on the conditions set out below, StreamFix (LISTIFY s.r.o.) shall not be liable:

For any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damage arising in connection with the use of information published on StreamFix.

For damage caused by the conduct of a third party (for example, refusal to provide a VPN service, blocking by a streaming platform, change of pricing, termination of an affiliate program).

For the consequences of a user’s decision to purchase a particular VPN service or to subscribe to a particular streaming platform.

For non-functioning links, incorrect automated conversions, site outages, or loss of data on the user’s side.

We distance ourselves from unethical conduct

StreamFix expressly does not endorse any breach of any third party’s terms of use, infringement of copyright, or circumvention of technological protection measures. StreamFix content cannot be construed as a manual, encouragement, or active support of such conduct. If, on the basis of the general information set out on StreamFix, a user acts in conflict with a third party’s terms or with copyright law, they do so on their own sole responsibility.

Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected

This limitation of liability does not limit those consumer rights which, under applicable law, cannot be limited, in particular liability for intentional conduct and gross negligence, liability for damage to health or life, and statutorily protected consumer rights:

Czech Republic: Section 2898 of Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code (prohibition on excluding in advance the right of the weaker party to compensation for damage), and Section 1813 of the same Act (prohibition of unfair terms in consumer contracts); Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on consumer protection.

European Union: Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights (as amended, in particular by Directives (EU) 2019/2161 and (EU) 2024/825); Directive 93/13/EEC on unfair terms in consumer contracts.

United Kingdom: Consumer Rights Act 2015, Part 2 (unfair terms in consumer contracts); Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 (digital consumer protection).

Australia: Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 to the Competition and Consumer Act 2010), in particular section 64 (prohibition on excluding statutory guarantees) and section 18 (prohibition on misleading conduct).

Japan: Consumer Contract Act (Act No. 61 of 2000).

Your statutory consumer rights remain fully preserved. The provisions of this section apply only to the extent that they do not encroach upon the mandatory rules of your jurisdiction.

We are not a legal practice

The information on the legality of VPN use, on copyright, and on the terms of streaming platforms that we publish on StreamFix is general and indicative in nature. It is not legal advice and cannot replace individual assessment by a qualified lawyer.

For specific legal questions (for example, the validity of a particular provision in a streaming platform’s ToS, the impact of using a VPN in a specific country, or the boundaries of nominative trademark use), please contact a lawyer practicing in your jurisdiction.

This limitation applies worldwide regardless of your country of residence and also covers the following situations:

A change in regulation has occurred after publication of our content that we have not yet been able to reflect.

Your jurisdiction interprets a general principle differently from the country for which our article was primarily written.

A specific service imposes in practice restrictions that differ from those stated in its officially published terms.

Security and authorized access

Access to the StreamFix site is permitted exclusively over the HTTPS protocol. The administrative section of the site is protected by a signed session token (HMAC-SHA256) with the httpOnly, Secure, and SameSite=Lax attributes, together with brute-force protection.

Attempts to circumvent these measures, unauthorized access, exploits, injection attacks, or other interference with site security are prohibited and may be reported to the authorities responsible for criminal proceedings. Relevant legal frameworks:

Czech Republic: Section 230 of Act No. 40/2009 Coll., the Criminal Code (unauthorized access to a computer system and information carrier), or Section 231 (procurement and possession of access devices and passwords for a computer system).

United States: 18 U.S.C. § 1030 (Computer Fraud and Abuse Act). Please note that the scope of the CFAA was significantly narrowed by the Supreme Court decision in Van Buren v. United States, 593 U.S. 374 (2021). For that reason we do not consider a mere breach of these Terms to constitute a basis for invoking the CFAA.

United Kingdom: Computer Misuse Act 1990.

Australia: Criminal Code Act 1995, Part 10.7 (as amended by the Cybercrime Act 2001).

Japan: Act on the Prohibition of Unauthorized Computer Access (Act No. 128 of 1999).

Changes to the Terms and termination

We may amend these Terms at any time, in particular in response to new regulation, the introduction of new site features, or a change in our business model. The date of the most recent update is always stated at the top of this page.

Material changes will be highlighted on the site, and where appropriate we will request consent again.

Minor edits of a wording nature (typo corrections, refinement of a legal citation) do not require renewed notice.

By continuing to use the service after the publication of revised Terms you agree to the updated wording. If you do not agree with the new wording, please discontinue use of the service.

We reserve the right to terminate or modify the service at any time, including without prior notice, in particular in cases of material technical, security, or regulatory reasons.

The provisions on intellectual property (section 9), limitation of liability (section 11), the notice-and-action procedure (section 7), and governing law (section 15) survive any termination of the service.

Governing law, jurisdiction, and contact

These Terms are governed by Czech law, in particular Act No. 89/2012 Coll., the Civil Code, Act No. 121/2000 Coll., the Copyright Act, and Act No. 634/1992 Coll., on consumer protection.

Parallel application of consumer protection

If you are a consumer with habitual residence in another EU Member State, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of habitual residence apply in parallel under Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 (Rome I), Article 6. If your habitual residence is outside the EU, equivalent rules under the private international law of your jurisdiction apply.

Jurisdiction of the courts

General jurisdiction for disputes is vested in the general courts of the Czech Republic according to the operator’s seat (Prague 1). The consumer’s right to sue at the court of their domicile in the EU is preserved under Article 18 of Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 (Brussels I bis) and equivalent rules in other jurisdictions.

Out-of-court dispute resolution

Czech Republic: out-of-court resolution of consumer disputes is provided by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority, adr.coi.cz.

EU consumers outside the Czech Republic: cross-border consumer disputes are handled by the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net), eccnet.eu. The European ODR platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2024/3228 and is no longer available.

Consumers in other jurisdictions: we recommend contacting your national consumer-protection authority (for example, the ACCC in Australia, the CMA in the United Kingdom, the FTC or your state Attorney General in the United States, the National Consumer Affairs Center in Japan).
