It started in April 2022 as a conventional television channel, but the linear feed closed in May 2024. - TalkTV launched on 25 April 2022 as a News UK linear service across Sky, Freesat, Freeview and Virgin Media, pitched as Britain's opinion-led answer to the established news houses.
- The TalkTV flagship became the nightly Piers Morgan Uncensored, which News UK ran simultaneously in Britain, Australia and the US as the project's marquee draw.
- On 8 February 2024 Piers Morgan ended the TV show and moved Uncensored to his own YouTube channel. The star's exit kicked off the unraveling of the original linear model.
- News UK switched off the linear channel on 1 May 2024 and rebranded to Talk. Between 1 and 7 May the broadcast feed vanished from Sky, Virgin Media, Freesat and Freeview.
- The outlet reinvented TalkTV as a streaming and YouTube operation with free FAST channels. It kept running under the old TalkTV label on Samsung TV Plus.
- From September 2025 a weekly Piers Morgan Uncensored highlights show, cut from his YouTube episodes, began airing on Britain's Channel 5, returning Morgan to traditional TV after eighteen months.
