Citizen Digital is the free, ad-supported online service of Royal Media Services, Kenya’s largest private broadcaster, based in Nairobi. You can stream live television including Citizen TV, Inooro TV in Kikuyu, Ramogi TV in Dholuo and Citizen Extra, alongside live radio, on-demand videos, digital exclusives, breaking news, sport and podcasts. Programming runs in English and Swahili. It is also home to popular Kenyan telenovelas and dramas such as Zora, Sultana and Maria. As the country’s most-used news app, it works on the web, on iOS and Android, and via Chromecast, built mobile-first. Everything is paid for by advertising, so there is nothing to subscribe to.
