MTV is Paramount’s flagship music and entertainment brand, still carried as a linear channel across much of Europe, Latin America and Asia. These days it leans almost entirely on reality formats: The Challenge, Teen Mom, Jersey Shore Family Vacation, RuPaul’s Drag Race and the annual Video Music Awards, while music videos have all but vanished. Paramount is winding down its European music spin-offs (the UK’s MTV Music, 80s, 90s and Club MTV closed at the end of 2025 and MTV Spain shut in March 2026), but the main channel lives on and its library streams on Paramount+.
