Prima SPORT is the fifteenth channel run by FTV Prima and the newest free sports service on Czech television, on air since 17 August 2026. Terrestrial DVB-T2 Multiplex 24 carries it free to air, while on satellite it sits on Skylink position 111 from the entry MINI tier and operators including Oneplay, Vodafone TV and Magenta TV fold it into their own packages. The same live feed runs inside prima+ at iprima.cz/zive/sport, where a free account is all it takes to press play. The schedule inherits the rights and the staff of Sporty TV: Chance Národní liga football, Poland’s Ekstraklasa, Denmark’s Superligaen, Conference League qualifiers, Maxa liga ice hockey, floorball, basketball and the Beach Pro Tour. Picture quality peaks at 1080p, and the stream works only inside Czechia.

Major changes
- Perinvest Group, owned by Czech businessman Tomáš Petera, launched Sporty TV, an indoor sports channel. Its rights portfolio, staff and brand later became the foundation of Prima SPORT.
- Czech trade press reported that the Prima group was interested in Sporty TV and that the two broadcasters were already working together, opening talks about the team and the rights.
- The Czech broadcasting regulator RRTV granted FTV Prima a twelve year licence for Prima SPORT, covering both digital terrestrial transmitters and distribution over the internet.
- Prima confirmed the agreement with Perinvest Group. It did not take over the Sporty TV licence, only the brand, the team and the contracted rights, and announced an August 17 start.
- Prima SPORT began regular broadcasting at 6 a.m. as the fifteenth channel of the group. Sporty TV had already ended its normal schedule overnight, and Czech viewers got a free-to-air sports channel on Multiplex 24.
- Czech Radiocommunications switched off the Sporty TV position in nationwide multiplex 23. For eleven days it had carried a looping farewell show and then a static logo card, closing two and a half years of indoor sports television.
- prima+ raised the price of its paid tiers for new customers, while existing subscribers kept their old rates. The live Prima SPORT feed stayed free, including on the ad supported FREE tier.

Modern Times Group sold its stake back in 2017, so older English language sources that still name it are out of date. Perinvest Group, which owned Sporty TV, took no stake in the channel.

A looping farewell show and a static logo card held the slot for another eleven days, until the position was switched off in multiplex 23 on August 28.

There is no HDR and no spatial audio, which matters less for live sport than a stream that holds.
