How to Watch RecordPlus outside Brazil: VPN Guide 2026
TV Record is not a single feed. It is a network of 21 regional stations and affiliates across Brazil, and RecordPlus, formerly PlayPlus, is the official Record streaming service that carries every one of them live, free once you sign up. It is built for Brazil, though, and its player can restrict content by location outside the country. The ad-supported free tier goes well past the main channel: more than 30 themed FAST channels, podcasts, radio stations and live soccer from Brasileirão 2026 and Paulistão.
A VPN with a server in Brazil changes your virtual location, so you can watch Record on RecordPlus anywhere in the world just like at home. We recommend NordVPN, and setup takes a few minutes. You open your own account: the free tier costs nothing, while the VPN is a separate subscription. Want full novela episodes such as Chamas do Destino or every A Fazenda feed? That is what the optional Record subscription is for.

Steer clear of free VPNs. Most of them actually collect and sell your data, lack proper security audits, and can even expose you to malware. They’re also useless for streaming. Platforms block them instantly, leaving you with more headaches than solutions. Stick to paid VPNs with verified audits, like NordVPN, if you want something that actually works.

Tips & tricks you should know
5 tips from our RecordPlus testing team · Updated October 30, 2026
- Sign up for the free Plano Play tier and you get 21 live Record stations, 30+ themed FAST channels and Brasileirão 2026 games streaming live, all funded by ads.
- Skip typing a password with your remote: RecordPlus links to an Android TV with a pairing code, and the same account also runs in the apps for iPhone, iPad and Apple Vision.
- The free tier also carries themed FAST channels such as Manual do Mundo, Fit Dance, Acelerados and Good Game TV.
- Free viewers only get clips of novelas and reality shows; full episodes and the 24/7 A Fazenda feeds come with a subscription, which covers up to 4 screens at once.
- We recommend NordVPN with a server in Brazil: Cidade Alerta and Brasileirão games then play live from your own Record station, with the VPN billed as its own subscription.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before subscribing to RecordPlus.
The Plano Play tier is free once you register and is supported by ads. The optional subscription costs R$18.90 a month (RecordPlus Mensal), R$189.90 a year (RecordPlus Anual) or R$100.90 for six months on RecordPlus Semestral. The 14-day free trial applies to your first subscription only, and prices are subject to change. Paid plans allow up to 4 simultaneous streams per account. Free on RecordPlus: 24-hour live feeds from 21 Record stations and affiliates, clips, podcasts, radio, FAST channels (according to RecordPlus, over 140 hours of programming a day on more than 30 channels), and live sports. The subscription unlocks full episodes of Record novelas, series, reality, entertainment and news shows, exclusive reality broadcasts, original productions and every A Fazenda feed. Sign-up asks for name, birth date, region, email and password, or Apple sign-in.
RecordPlus is built for Brazil, and its player can restrict content by location outside the country. When that happens you see “Lamentamos, este conteúdo não está disponível na sua região,” which means “Sorry, this content is not available in your region.” A VPN with a server in Brazil changes your virtual location, so you watch Record just like at home. We recommend NordVPN.
Yes. Record airs them live and free, and RecordPlus calls itself the home of Brasileirão 2026, Paulistão, several other state championships and the Copinha. A free RecordPlus account is all you need for the matches. For watching outside Brazil we recommend NordVPN with a Brazilian server, so you follow the game on the same feed as fans back home.
RecordPlus carries more than 1,000 titles and over 100 originals. Biblical novelas and series lead the way: Os Dez Mandamentos, A Vida de Jó, Jesus, Paulo, O Apóstolo. There are also Chamas do Destino, Mãe, Raízes and the Turkish novela Iludida, an adaptation of the British drama Doctor Foster with Cansu Dere and Caner Cindoruk. Add documentaries such as DOC Investigação and Ecos da II Guerra, plus movies.
A web browser at recordplus.com, iPhone and iPad, Apple Vision on visionOS 2 or later, Android phones and tablets, and Android TV. As of October 30, 2026 you can download the app from the US App Store, but downloading it does not mean the player will play content outside Brazil. On Google Play it has more than 10 million downloads.
YouTube TV is a US live TV service over the internet that you use at home without extra steps. RecordPlus is the app of one Brazilian broadcaster, run by Rádio e Televisão Record S.A. in São Paulo: regional Record stations, Brazilian soccer, novelas and reality TV in Brazilian Portuguese. Neither replaces the other. For Brazilian free TV from the US we recommend NordVPN.
The web app also brands RecordPlus as Record+ and offers a “Record+ pela Claro” subscription activation. Claro tv+ is a separate platform. According to the press, Claro tv+ has been testing a RecordPlus integration in its interface on the Box 4K since September 14, 2026. Outside Brazil we recommend NordVPN with a Brazilian server.
