LPF Play is the AFA’s free domestic streaming platform for Argentine football, run with the Liga Profesional de Fútbol under the banner La Pasión del Fútbol. Univtec handles the technical side and La Corte the production. It started in 2023 as a highlights and clips app, then grew into a full live OTT service, officially unveiled on March 9, 2026 by AFA president Claudio Tapia at the association’s Ezeiza complex. It carries Argentine lower division football live and on demand: Primera Nacional, Primera B Metropolitana, Primera C, Torneo Federal A, reserves and youth in the Torneo Proyección, women’s football, and top tier futsal. In June 2026 it broadcast the national team friendlies against Honduras and Iceland. One caveat: it does not show the men’s Primera División live, only highlights, since those live rights sit with TNT Sports and ESPN Premium. The model is free: the first matchday or two with no sign up, then free for a few months with an email registration, and a paid tier is planned but not yet priced. You can watch on the web, iOS, Android, Apple TV, Smart TV and Chromecast. It is reachable worldwide, drawing 455,000 users from over 150 countries in its first weeks, though some content is geo restricted abroad. Do not confuse it with the paid international AFA Play.

- The Liga Profesional launched LPF Play as a simple highlights app carrying Torneo Proyección rounds and women football. It was a clips service, not yet a full live broadcaster.
- The AFA announced a new rights model: from the 2026 season the full Primera Nacional and Primera B Metropolitana would run live on LPF Play, with production handed to La Corte.
- President Claudio Tapia officially unveiled the live OTT version of LPF Play at the AFA complex in Ezeiza. Opening ascenso rounds ran free with no sign-up, under the slogan that football had returned to football.
- In its first three weeks LPF Play drew 455,000 unique viewers from 150-plus countries and 3.3 million video views, 90 percent of them live. The first two rounds ran free with no account; email sign-up began at matchday three.
- The service streamed the first of the June pre-World Cup friendlies for free, Argentina against Honduras in Texas, alongside TyC Sports and Telefe. The Iceland fixture followed three days later.
