- From the 2016 season TyC Sports took over the broadcast rights to the Primera Nacional, Argentina’s second tier, folding it into its regular football lineup for years to come.
- In February 2026 the AFA rejected the TV bids and moved the Primera Nacional rights to its own LPF Play platform, so TyC Sports lost the competition after a decade.
- In late May 2026 Grupo Werthein bought the remaining fifty percent of TyC Sports from Grupo Clarín for 25 million dollars, taking full one-hundred-percent control of the channel.
- For the 2026 World Cup TyC Sports confirmed 52 matches, including every Argentina group-stage game; the 16 June opener against Algeria kicked off a summer surge in interest.
