PULS 24 is Austria’s free 24-hour news channel, run by the ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4 group in Vienna and on air since 1 September 2019. It is funded by advertising and costs nothing to watch. The output is rolling news, politics and current affairs, with live event coverage and the talk shows Pro und Contra and Milborn, the latter hosted by news director Corinna Milborn. You follow the live stream and catch-up through the Joyn platform or the dedicated PULS 24 app for iOS, Android and Huawei, on the web and on smart TVs, in HD. The stream is geo-blocked to Austria and Joyn does not officially support VPNs, so viewers abroad need a VPN with an Austrian server that sets their virtual location. The channel itself remains free.

Major changes
- PULS 24 launched on 1 September 2019, with Austrian president Alexander Van der Bellen pressing a symbolic red button. It was the country's first private rolling-news channel, built around live reporting and studio debate.
- In May 2023 the ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4 group rebranded its Austrian streaming platform ZAPPN as Joyn. The channel's catch-up and live feed moved here, alongside more than fifty Austrian channels under one roof.
- In May 2024 PULS 24 extended its deal as the exclusive free-TV partner of the win2day ICE Hockey League. For the 2024/25 season it carried up to twenty-nine games for free on the channel, on puls24.at and on Joyn.
- An ice-hockey broadcast pitting KAC against the Black Wings in March 2025 drew roughly eighty-eight thousand viewers and handed the news channel a record market share. Live sport proved a real magnet for a pure news outlet.
- For the 2025/26 season the ICE Hockey League rights shifted to ORF and streaming partner Sporteurope.TV. After five years PULS 24 lost its hockey showcase and returned to a purely news-driven schedule.
- From January 2026 Lisa Fritsch took over as editor-in-chief for talk formats. The move was part of a broader personnel and programming overhaul across the info and debate strands of the ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4 group.
- The flagship debate Pro und Contra returned on 10 February 2026 with a new studio and a new host, Manuela Raidl. The relaunch formed part of the group's 2026 push to expand its public-value programming.
