IB3 is the free public broadcaster of the Balearic Islands in Spain, run by EPRTVIB from Calvià on Mallorca. The key thing to know is that it broadcasts in Catalan, specifically the Balearic variety. Its on-demand service at totib3.org carries regional news, own series, documentaries, a kids block and local football, mainly RCD Mallorca and Atlètic Balears. The channel launched in 2005. Official information about access outside Spain is not stated.

- IB3 began test transmissions on 1 March, the Balearic Islands holiday. The public broadcaster is run by Ens Públic de Radiotelevisió de les Illes Balears, based in Calvià on Mallorca, not in Palma.
- Regular broadcasting on IB3 launched on 5 September. The channel first mixed Catalan in news with Castilian in films and series, before later moving entirely to Catalan across the whole schedule.
- The Balearic audiovisual law 5/2013 of 1 October gave IB3 a new legal framework, anchoring a public-service remit focused on the islands own identity, culture and language as the channel core mission.
- Debate over the future of IB3 intensified in 2023, as media coverage weighed up its funding and the role of public television in protecting Balearic Catalan and local production on the islands.
- After a deal with Grupo Mediapro, IB3 brought RCD Mallorca first-division LaLiga matches back to free-to-air on 23 November. It was the top flight return to Balearic public television after thirteen years away.
- On 17 July the channel announced it would broadcast the whole RCD Mallorca pre-season live for 2025/26, six friendlies in all on IB3, IB3 Ràdio and YouTube between 23 July and 9 August.
- On 12 November the Balearic government approved 21 million euros for IB3 across 2026 and 2027, or 10.5 million a year, to fund in-house production in Catalan and back local talent.
