- RTVC launched Canarias Play as its digital home, built together with Telefónica. The canariasplay.es portal merged live broadcasts and the archive of Televisión Canaria and Radio Canaria, free of charge.
- Three days after launch, the official iOS and Android apps arrived (com.rtvc.canariasplay). Viewers could now follow Canarian TV and radio straight from a phone or tablet.
- Over the Carnival weekend the platform carried feeds from several islands plus extra sports and institutional signals at once, running up to five active signals at once without dropping.
- The service carried the Copa del Rey volleyball final live, available on the platform, on YouTube, and on rtvc.es. It strengthened its sports lineup alongside UD Las Palmas football.
