One catch: streaming apps check where you connect from. Abroad, the service you pay for at home may not load. Here’s how to fix that.

Tennis Channel’s Free Watch tier in the US has select live matches and replays, but doesn’t say whether the Finals are included. The only verified free home of WTA Tour tennis we found is Tennis Channel in Spain, which carries the tour exclusively and free of charge. Its Finals program isn’t out yet.
So most fans need a paid service at home, and those services check your location.
How to watch the WTA Finals from abroad with a VPN
Streaming services read your IP address before they play anything. Open NOW from a hotel in Palm Springs and you may get an error message instead of the match.
Plenty of fans travel in November, for the tennis, for work or on vacation. Subscriptions from Ireland, an EU country, keep working on short trips inside the EU under portability rules. The catch starts outside the EU, in the US, the UK, Mexico, Switzerland or Asia, or on a longer stay abroad.
A VPN from our table gets you back in: connect to a server at home, open your usual app and sign in. You keep paying for your own subscription; the VPN only changes your virtual location.
Tested on October 26, 2026 · 7 VPNs, 3 working · residential IP from the United Kingdom · Sky Sports updates detection continuously, results may change.

Eight days of tennis on hard courts, all in Stadium 2 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
How does the format work?
Eight singles players and eight doubles teams split into two round-robin groups of four. The top two from each group reach the semifinals, then the final. The singles champion lifts the Billie Jean King Trophy, the doubles champions the Martina Navratilova Trophy.
The top seven in the Race qualify automatically. The group draw hasn’t been made yet (as of October 26, 2026), so the first matchups aren’t known. The order of play comes out the evening before each day of competition.

In the UK and Ireland, that means evening tennis into the night, with both finals on Sunday evening, November 15.
The facts first. Elena Rybakina leads the Race with 8,001 points. The world No. 1 and defending champion won the Australian Open and the US Open this year, beating Aryna Sabalenka in both finals, and took Ningbo in October for a tour-leading fourth title.
Sabalenka (6,550) won the Sunshine Double at Indian Wells and Miami and has 47 match wins, but lost both of her Grand Slam finals. Mirra Andreeva (6,306), the Roland Garros champion, is 19, at a career-high No. 3 and making her Finals debut. Elina Svitolina (5,229), unbeaten champion in 2018, Karolina Muchova (4,725) and Wimbledon champion Linda Noskova (4,353) complete the field. Noskova left Wuhan with a left calf injury but should have time to recover, the WTA says.
Our picks are editorial opinions, not betting tips. Rybakina is our favorite: she leads the tour in titles and is defending the trophy. Sabalenka, who won at this venue in 2026, is the biggest threat. Our dark horse is Andreeva, who has 50 wins this season.

Two Americans made the singles field. US fans should check Tennis Channel; traveling Americans need a US server.
Coco Gauff: the 2024 champion wants a reset
Gauff is fifth in the Race with 5,773 points. She won this title in 2024 but failed to get out of her group last year. Her 2026 highlights: the Cincinnati title, finals in Miami and Rome, and a US Open semifinal. In our view, a semifinal is the minimum target, and a home crowd can only help.
Jessica Pegula: the most consistent player of 2026
Pegula sits fourth with 5,825 points, just 52 ahead of Gauff. She won titles in Dubai and Charleston, has 50 match wins (tied with Andreeva for the most on tour) and the best winning percentage of anyone. This is her fifth straight trip to the Finals.
The third American to watch is Taylor Townsend, who plays doubles with Katerina Siniakova as the world’s top team.
Doubles 2026: seven teams and one open spot
Team
Why watch
Siniakova/Townsend
World No. 1 and 2; Roland Garros champions
Dabrowski/Stefani
Race leaders (8,420); three titles in a row
Mladenovic/Guo
Wimbledon champions; Mladenovic won the Finals in 2018 and 2019
Mertens/Zhang
Australian Open champions; Mertens defends the title
Melichar-Martinez/Bucsa
Guadalajara title; Bucsa debuts
Hsieh/Ostapenko
2025 semifinalists; Brisbane title
Schuurs/Perez
First Finals together
Siniakova and Townsend were the first team to qualify, for a third straight appearance. Siniakova arrives in form: on Sunday, October 25, she beat Ashlyn Krueger in straight sets in Osaka for her sixth career singles title.
Aleksandra Krunic and Anna Danilina withdrew after a knee injury, so one place is still open. Next in the doubles Race are Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini (ninth, 2,417 points) and Olivia Nicholls and Tereza Mihalikova (10th, 2,375). The WTA hasn’t named the eighth team yet.
Why Indian Wells and not Riyadh?
After two editions in Riyadh, the WTA asked to move the 2026 event, and it agreed with the Saudi Tennis Federation to end the deal. The WTA named Indian Wells on July 1, 2026. A few more facts:
It’s the first time the event has been held in the US since 2022.
Garbiñe Muguruza is the tournament director.
Since 1972, only seven women have won on their singles debut. Andreeva and Noskova both debut this year.
Svitolina is the first mother to qualify in singles since Kim Clijsters in 2010.
WTA Finals stream not working? What to do
Check the server country. Connect to a server in the country of your service, such as the UK for Sky Sports.
Switch servers. Still blocked? Pick another server in the same country.
Clear the cache. Delete cookies or open a private window.
Check your account. A VPN doesn’t replace a paid plan. You still need your own active subscription.
Test early. Try your setup on Sunday afternoon, November 8, before coverage starts.
Ready for November 8?
