European Table Tennis Championships 2026: where to watch all 8 tables live for free
The European Table Tennis Championships 2026 stream free on YouTube, all 8 tables, from October 11 to 18. Unless you’re in a country where ETTU blocks the stream. Here’s where to watch, when the finals start and how to watch from abroad.

Where to watch: according to the organizers, all 8 tables stream live and free on ETTU’s YouTube channel (ETTU TV). No TV partner is announced for the UK, the US or Canada; Germany has Dyn, France has L’Équipe.
The championships run October 11 to 18, 2026, at Arena Stožice in Ljubljana. Singles finals on Sunday, October 18: women at 17:00 CEST, men at 17:50 CEST (11:00 and 11:50 a.m. ET).
At recent events ETTU geo-blocked its free stream where a TV partner held the rights, the US and Canada included. For Ljubljana that’s expected again but not yet confirmed; a VPN with a server where the stream plays solves it.
Favorites: Félix and Alexis Lebrun in the men’s draw, Sabine Winter and two-time champion Sofia Polcanova among the women.
Eight tables, all of them live, free on YouTube. That’s the promise for the European Table Tennis Championships 2026, straight from the organizers. The catch: if you happen to be in the wrong country, that free stream may simply refuse to play. The championships run from October 11 to 18, 2026, at Arena Stožice in Ljubljana, Slovenia, with 264 singles players from 46 associations chasing five titles.
Quick note so you land on the right event: this is the individual championship for adults. It’s not the youth, veterans or team championships, and not the WTT Star Contender Ljubljana that keeps popping up in search results. And yes, Félix and Alexis Lebrun are coming. Below you’ll find where to watch in the UK, the US, Canada and beyond, the finals times with US hours, my tips, and what to do when the stream is blocked.
Where to watch the European Table Tennis Championships 2026 live
The base layer is simple. The official championship website says you can watch live matches from all 8 competition tables via ETTU’s YouTube channel, called ETTU TV, from October 11 to 18. Just YouTube on your phone or smart TV. On top of that, two big TV deals are confirmed, plus Slovenian public TV for the home crowd.

Status as of October 8, 2026. ETTU hasn’t published its official where-to-watch list for Ljubljana yet. At past events it did so right around the start, so expect it on ettu.org in the next few days.
Can you watch the European Table Tennis Championships 2026 for free?
Yes. ETTU TV on YouTube needs no subscription or sign-up, and according to the organizers it carries all 8 tables from October 11 to 18. In France, L’Équipe is free-to-air, plus L’Équipe live and the app. In Germany, Dyn has the exclusive live rights and is a paid service (non-exclusive in Austria and Switzerland).
The catch: ETTU has recently geo-blocked the free stream in countries with a TV partner, and Ljubljana is expected to follow. Abroad, it may not play.
How to watch from abroad with a VPN
ETTU’s free stream usually goes out worldwide, but not literally everywhere. At the Europe Top 16 Cup in Montreux in February 2026, ETTU geo-blocked its own stream in countries where a TV partner held the rights: France, Portugal, Romania, Switzerland, the USA and Canada, among others. In the US and Canada those rights sat with tabletennis.tv. The 2025 European Team Championships worked the same way.
For Ljubljana the official list isn’t out yet, so treat this as an expectation, not a fact. Following that pattern, the free stream should be blocked in Germany, where Dyn has exclusive live rights, and in France, which belongs to L’Équipe. The other territories from Montreux, the US and Canada included, could well be on the list again. On a business trip in Toronto, or living in Chicago? Connect to a server in a country where the ETTU stream plays, for example the UK, and YouTube serves you the normal stream. The VPNs below are ranked according to StreamFix data, and how we score them is explained in our methodology.
Tested on October 5, 2026 · 7 VPNs, 4 working · residential IP from Andorra · YouTube updates detection continuously, results may change.
⚠️
Streaming service blocking your VPN? Just disconnect and hop onto a different server in the same country. Stick to the ones labeled “streaming” or “optimized” because they’re literally built for this.
Four steps to the stream
Pick a VPN from the table above and install the app on the device you’ll watch on.
Connect to a server in the right country: the UK or another country where the ETTU stream plays for YouTube, Germany for Dyn, France for L’Équipe.
Open ETTU TV on YouTube, or Dyn or L’Équipe live if that’s the broadcaster you use at home.
Watch. YouTube and L’Équipe are free anyway. For Dyn you log in with your own subscription, the VPN doesn’t replace it.
A VPN is a perfectly legal tool in both the UK and the US. If you want to compare the services side by side before the first serve, our VPN comparison has the full picture.
The same week, October 14 to 18, Shanghai hosts the track cycling worlds, with free BBC coverage on the weekend. Our guide to the Track Cycling World Championships 2026 has the TV times and how to watch from abroad.
Schedule and when the finals start
Times are local Ljubljana time (CEST), with US Eastern Time in parentheses. In the UK, take one hour off. The table follows ETTU’s general schedule from September 11, 2026, and it can still change. The draw takes place on Friday, October 9, at 19:00 CEST in the hall.
Day
What’s on (CEST, ET in parentheses)
Sun Oct 11 and Mon Oct 12
Qualification and preliminary rounds
Tue Oct 13
Main draw starts in men’s, women’s and mixed doubles
Wed Oct 14
Singles round of 64: men 14:15 to 17:35, women 18:15 to 21:35
Fri Oct 16
Mixed doubles final at 20:15 (2:15 p.m. ET)
Sat Oct 17
Singles quarterfinals from 12:00 (6:00 a.m. ET), men’s doubles final 19:30 (1:30 p.m. ET), women’s doubles final 20:15 (2:15 p.m. ET)
Sun Oct 18
Singles semifinals from 11:30 (5:30 a.m. ET), women’s final 17:00 (11:00 a.m. ET), men’s final 17:50 (11:50 a.m. ET)
Singles in the main draw are best of seven, so four games to win. Qualification and all doubles are best of five. The 32 seeded singles players skip the qualification groups and go straight into the main draw. There’s more than medals at stake, too: roughly the top 32 in singles and the top 16 doubles pairs qualify for the 2027 ITTF World Championships.
If you only have one free slot, make it Sunday. Semifinals in the morning, both singles finals back to back in the afternoon. In the US, that’s brunch time. On Slovenian TV SLO 2, coverage of the Friday round of 16 starts at 16:05 and the Sunday finals at 16:55.
Who are the favorites? My tips
Rankings below are the ITTF world ranking published on October 5, 2026. Seeds come from ETTU’s entry list of October 2, which is provisional until the October ETTU ranking settles it.
Men’s singles
Two names, one family. Félix Lebrun is world no. 2 and tops ETTU’s entry list. His brother Alexis is the defending champion: he beat Benedikt Duda 4:0 in the 2024 final in Linz and has won the Europe Top 16 Cup in both 2025 and 2026. My tip is that a Lebrun takes the title, and I lean slightly towards Félix, because right now the ranking says he’s the better player.
The dangerous outsiders are Truls Moregard (world no. 5) and Dang Qiu (no. 10). Qiu recently won WTT Star Contender Astana, beating the reigning European champion Alexis Lebrun along the way. Moregard has said the goal is gold and that he believes it’s achievable if he finds his level. Darko Jorgić (no. 12) has 7,000 seats of home support behind him, but a first-round loss to qualifier Wim Verdonschot at the WTT Grand Smash in Beijing this month doesn’t exactly scream form.
Women’s singles
Sabine Winter is the top seed and, at world no. 8, the best-ranked European woman. In February she won the Top 16 Cup in Montreux, beating Bernadette Szőcs 3:0 in the final and ending Ying Han’s 14-match winning streak along the way. That’s my pick.
The player nobody wants to meet in the quarterfinals is Sofia Polcanova. The Austrian won in Munich in 2022 and Linz in 2024 and now goes for a third title in a row. Szőcs (no. 23) lost both the singles and doubles finals in Linz, so she has unfinished business. Han (no. 15) and Nina Mittelham (no. 29) give Germany real depth.
Doubles and the defending champions
Alexis and Félix Lebrun defend the men’s title after a 3:0 final against Källberg and Moregard of Sweden. They were the first brothers ever to win a European doubles title, and I don’t see who stops them this time. Germany sends Qiu with Duda and Franziska with Ovtcharov. In the women’s doubles, Hana Matelová (Czechia) and Barbora Balážová (Slovakia) are the champions after a 3:2 thriller against Polcanova and Szőcs, which gave Slovakia its first European title. Spain’s Álvaro Robles and Maria Xiao defend the mixed title, won 3:0 against Robert Gardoš and Polcanova.
Want the whole Lebrun show from the US or Canada? The top VPN from our table handles it.
The Lebrun brothers. Félix and Alexis sit first and second on ETTU’s entry list. One is the world no. 2, the other the reigning champion who beat Jorgić in this year’s Top 16 final. Two brothers chasing the same title in the same draw is the story of the week.
Polcanova and the three-peat. She is only the third woman in ETTU history to retain the singles title. Now she goes for a third in a row, and with Winter in form it won’t be a walk.
Jorgić at home. The Slovenian is one of the official faces of the championship. He won the Europe Top 16 three times in a row until 2024, then lost the 2025 and 2026 finals to Alexis Lebrun. A full Stožice could carry him a long way, or crank up the pressure.
Moregard’s gold hunt. At 24 he already owns a singles bronze and a doubles silver from Linz, plus two silvers from the Paris 2024 Olympics. He’s openly saying gold, and he isn’t joking.
Fun facts and records
The first European Championships took place in 1958 in Budapest. The most successful player in their history is Timo Boll: 13 golds, 4 bronzes, and he never lost a final. Dimitrij Ovtcharov, now 38, won the singles title in 2013 and 2015 and is back in the German team.
Alexis Lebrun is only the third Frenchman to win the men’s singles, after Secretin in 1976 and Lebesson in 2016. Linz 2024 also had a darker Lebrun moment: Félix, the top seed, led Duda 3:1 with match point in the quarterfinal, lost, and was disqualified for hitting the LED boards. In the same tournament Robert Gardoš, 45, reached the mixed doubles final and became, according to ETTU, the oldest finalist ever.
Arena Stožice holds 7,000 spectators, opened in 2010 and is the biggest hall in Slovenia. The European championships return to Slovenia after 33 years, the last time it was the youth event in Ljubljana. Adult tickets cost 15 EUR for the qualification days and 25 EUR for the main draw, and kids under 14 get in free.
ETTU TV stream not working? Try this
A message that the video isn’t available in your country means a geo-block. Connect the VPN from our table to a server where the stream plays, such as the UK.
Still nothing? Try another server in the same country, then reload the page or restart the app.
Clear the browser cache, use a private window, or reopen the YouTube, Dyn or L’Équipe app so it picks up your new location.
Dyn still needs your own subscription. The VPN doesn’t replace it.
Test early: on the qualification days, October 11 and 12, or at least 15 minutes before Sunday’s finals.
Put Sunday, October 18, in your calendar: women’s final at 17:00 CEST, men’s final at 17:50 CEST, that’s 11:00 and 11:50 a.m. ET. If the stream shows up blocked wherever you are that day, the VPN from our table gets you back in time for the first serve.
According to the organizers, all 8 tables are streamed live and free on ETTU’s YouTube channel, ETTU TV, from October 11 to 18, 2026. In Germany, Dyn holds exclusive live rights, in France it’s L’Équipe, and in Slovenia TV SLO 2 shows the event every day. No TV partner has been announced for the UK, the US or Canada (as of October 8).
If the ETTU stream is blocked where you are, connect to a VPN server in a country where it plays, for example the UK, and open ETTU TV on YouTube. If you normally watch on Dyn or L’Équipe, connect to a server in Germany or France instead. For Dyn you still log in with your own subscription.
Yes. ETTU TV on YouTube costs nothing and needs no subscription. The only limit is geography: at recent events ETTU blocked the stream in countries where a TV partner held the rights, such as France, the US and Canada. The Ljubljana list wasn’t published yet as of October 8, 2026.
In some countries, yes. L’Équipe has the rights in France, Dyn streams it in Germany (exclusively) and also in Austria and Switzerland, and Slovenia’s TV SLO 2 is live every day. In the UK, the US and Canada no broadcaster has been announced, so the ETTU stream on YouTube is the way to watch, as long as it isn’t blocked there.
Qualification runs on October 11 and 12, the main draw starts on October 13. The mixed doubles final is on Friday, October 16, at 20:15 CEST, the doubles finals on Saturday at 19:30 and 20:15 CEST. Sunday, October 18, brings the singles semifinals from 11:30 and the finals at 17:00 (women) and 17:50 CEST (men). The schedule may still change.
Yes, a VPN is a legal tool in both the UK and the US. You use it the same way at home or when traveling, to connect through a server in another country.
In the men’s singles, the Lebrun brothers: Félix is world no. 2 and the top seed, Alexis the defending champion. Truls Moregard and Dang Qiu are the main outsiders. Among the women, top seed Sabine Winter and Sofia Polcanova, who goes for a third title in a row, lead the field, with Ying Han and Bernadette Szőcs close behind.
