The DP World India Championship 2026 starts on Thursday, October 15, at Delhi Golf Club in New Delhi: four rounds, a US$4 million prize fund and a final round on Sunday, October 18. In the UK and Ireland, the DP World Tour lives on Sky Sports, with streaming on Sky Go and NOW. In the USA, Golf Channel shows it live.
Defending champion Tommy Fleetwood is back, and so are Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry and Justin Rose. The catch for fans on the move: a Sky Sports subscription is tied to the UK and Ireland. Open Sky Go or NOW on a work trip to Dubai or a week in Spain and you get an error screen instead of the first tee shot.

In the UK and Ireland, Sky Sports is the home of the DP World Tour until at least the end of 2029, after Sky and the Tour extended their partnership. Golf runs on Sky Sports Golf, and you can stream it on Sky Go with your Sky package or on NOW, the Sky streaming service. Last year Sky showed all four rounds of this event live.
In the USA, Golf Channel shows live coverage of every DP World Tour event under a multiyear deal that runs through 2030, announced in January 2026. Delhi is nine and a half hours ahead of New York, so on the East Coast the action falls overnight.
India is less clear. According to a January 2026 report by the trade site afaqs, Sony Pictures Networks India holds exclusive DP World Tour media rights. In that report, Sony said Sony LIV will cover every DP World Tour event digitally, while its TV channels will show select marquee tournaments, led by the Hero Indian Open and this one. Sony hasn’t named a channel yet.
In Germany, MagentaTV and MagentaSport carry the DP World Tour on two golf channels, MS Golf 1 and MS Golf 2, included in MagentaTV tariffs at no extra charge. For Australia, Canada and South Africa, no broadcaster for this tournament had been announced as of October 9, 2026.
No. As of October 9, 2026, there is no verified free live stream of this tournament anywhere. Every confirmed option is paid: Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland, Golf Channel in the USA, MagentaTV in Germany. MagentaTV customers pay nothing extra for golf, but they still need a MagentaTV tariff.

Neither Sky nor Golf Channel has published its 2026 schedule yet. Expect early starts: last year Sky’s coverage began at 6:30 a.m. BST on Thursday and 7:30 a.m. BST on Friday, live on Sky Sports Golf. India doesn’t use daylight saving time, and the UK stays on BST until October 25, so during the tournament Delhi is four and a half hours ahead of London. On the US East Coast, play falls in the middle of the night.

The 2026 tee times aren’t out yet. The DP World Tour publishes them before the first round, so look for them early in tournament week. Searching for tee times in UK time? Take the Delhi time and subtract four and a half hours.
The tournament is 72 holes over four days, Thursday to Sunday. In the first two rounds the players go out in groups at set tee times. After 36 holes there is a cut, and only the players who make it play the weekend. On Saturday and Sunday the leaders usually tee off last, which is when the live coverage matters most.
The facts first. The DP World PGTI announced the headline names on September 2, 2026. Tommy Fleetwood defends his title. Career Grand Slam winner Rory McIlroy returns, and so do major winners Shane Lowry and Justin Rose, European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald and Viktor Hovland. The field also includes 2026 Open champion Ryan Fox, Masters champion Patrick Reed, who led the Race to Dubai at the time of the announcement, and Bubba Watson. Min Woo Lee makes his debut.
Fleetwood won the first edition in 2025 on 22 under par, two shots clear of Keita Nakajima, with a closing 65. He came to Delhi straight from Europe’s Ryder Cup win, and the trophy was his eighth DP World Tour title.
Shubhankar Sharma and Anirban Lahiri lead the home challenge. Sharma arrives in form: after two rounds of the Kapil Dev Invitational Tour Championship at Jaypee Greens, he led by four shots on 11 under par after rounds of 68 and 65. That event ends on October 10.

The prize fund is US$4 million. According to DP World, that’s the largest prize fund ever offered by a DP World Tour event in India.
The week also shapes the season. This is the eighth event of the Back 9 phase of the Race to Dubai, and the second-to-last chance to earn points before the DP World Tour Play-offs.

Delhi Golf Club hosts for the second time. DP World and the DP World Tour launched the event there in 2025, and it is co-sanctioned with the DP World Professional Golf Tour of India, which is why PGTI players get places in the field. Last year the course played as a par 72.
