Can you watch India vs West Indies for free?
No. As of October 8, we found no verified free live option for this match in any country. Star Sports, TNT Sports, SuperSport and Sky Sport are all pay TV, and where no broadcaster is confirmed, there is nothing official to point you to yet.
So the realistic plan for most fans abroad is the subscription they already have at home. An Indian plan works in India, a TNT Sports plan works in the UK. Open either from Toronto, Dubai or a hotel in Singapore and the stream usually stops, because these services check where you connect from. The next section fixes that.
How to watch from the UK, US or Dubai with a VPN
Streaming services read your IP address before they play anything. JioHotstar, the Indian streaming service, is the app most fans abroad try to reach, and its Indian plans are built for viewers in India. Take your TNT Sports login on a work trip to the Gulf and you can hit the same wall, even though you pay every month.
A VPN from the table gets you back in. Connect to a server in India for your Indian subscription, or in the UK for TNT Sports, then open the app and sign in. The service sees a home connection. You keep paying for your own subscription; the VPN only changes your virtual location.
One detail: as of October 8, JioHotstar has not listed this match, so check the app on match day. Our guide to watching JioHotstar outside India explains how the service works abroad.
Tested on October 5, 2026 · 7 VPNs, 3 working · residential IP from India · JioHotstar updates detection continuously, results may change.

Streaming service blocking your VPN? Just disconnect and hop onto a different server in the same country. Stick to the ones labeled “streaming” or “optimized” because they’re literally built for this.

Install the app
Put it on the phone, laptop or smart TV you plan to watch on.

India for your Indian subscription, the UK for TNT Sports.

Use the subscription you already pay for. The VPN does not replace it.
Test before the first ball
Open the stream well before 7 p.m. IST, which is 2:30 p.m. in the UK and 9:30 a.m. ET.
How does a T20I work?
A T20I, or Twenty20 International, is the shortest format of international cricket. Each team bats once and faces 20 overs, an over being six balls from one bowler. An innings ends when the overs run out or when 10 wickets fall (a wicket is a batter getting out, and losing all 10 is called all out), and the side with more runs wins.
This tour has no Tests. West Indies played 3 ODIs first, then 5 T20Is. Every T20I starts at 7 p.m. IST.
Who is in the squads?
India: Shreyas Iyer (captain), Tilak Varma (vice captain), Abhishek Sharma, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson (both wicketkeepers), Shivam Dube, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Ravi Bishnoi, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Arshdeep Singh, Prince Yadav, Mayank Yadav and Naman Dhir. Dhir came in for Washington Sundar.
West Indies: Shai Hope (captain), Jewel Andrew, Roston Chase, Matthew Forde, Shimron Hetmyer, Akeal Hosein, Shamar Joseph, Gudakesh Motie, Keemo Paul, Kamil Pooran, Rovman Powell, Sherfane Rutherford, Quentin Sampson, Romario Shepherd and Shamar Springer. Daren Sammy is head coach, Jason Holder is rested, and Kamil Pooran has his first call up.
The playing XIs are not known yet. Both teams name them at the toss.
The series so far and the T20I schedule
India won the ODI series 2 to 1. In the T20I opener in Lucknow, West Indies were 171 all out in 19.1 overs and India reached 172 for 2 in 14.4 overs to win by 8 wickets. Ranchi on October 9 and Indore on October 11 come next; we will update the series score here on October 13.

Don’t mix this series up with the T20 World Cup 2026, played in February and March, or with India’s separate T20I series in New Zealand, which starts on October 22.
Who is the favorite on Wednesday?
The facts first. India are at home, won the ODI series 2 to 1, and chased 172 in the T20I opener with 32 balls to spare. West Indies have not won an ODI series in India since 2002. On their side, Akeal Hosein is close to his 100th T20I and would be the 4th West Indian to get there.
Our editorial view: India start as favorites. They have won three of the four games on this tour so far, and the Lucknow chase showed how quickly they can close out a game. If West Indies bat first, they need a big total to put that chase under pressure. The results in Ranchi and Indore will tell us much more, and a lot depends on what is still at stake by Wednesday night.

In the Caribbean, this is a Wednesday morning game: 9:30 a.m. in Trinidad, Barbados and Guyana, 8:30 a.m. in Jamaica. On the US East Coast and in Toronto it starts at 9:30 a.m. ET, right at the start of the working day, and on the US West Coast it is an early 6:30 a.m. PT. Fans in Dubai get a comfortable 5:30 p.m. start.
Australia and New Zealand have the toughest slot: 12:30 a.m. Thursday in Sydney and 2:30 a.m. Thursday in New Zealand, where Sky Sport 1 carries it live.
What if your country has no broadcaster yet?
In the USA, Canada, the Caribbean, Australia and the Middle East, no broadcaster is confirmed as of October 8. If that changes by October 13, the table above will show it.
Until then, the service you already pay for at home is your most direct way in. Indian subscription? Connect to a server in India. TNT Sports from the UK? Pick a UK server. Then sign in and watch as you would on the sofa at home.
Stream not working? What to do
Check the server country. Connect to a server in the country of your service: India for an Indian subscription, the UK for TNT Sports.
Switch servers. Still blocked? Pick another server in the same country and reload.
Clear the cache. Your browser or app may remember your real location. Clear cookies, open a private window or restart the app.
Use your own subscription. A VPN never makes a paid service free. You still need an active plan on your own account.
Test before the first ball. Try your setup during the 2nd or 3rd T20I, not five minutes before 7 p.m. IST on Wednesday.
Ready for Hyderabad?
Away from home on October 14? Set up a VPN a day early, connect to a server in India or the UK and watch the match on the service you already pay for. This VPN tops our JioHotstar table right now:
