  • September 2024MagentaSport marked ten years in September 2024. Telekom opened selected live broadcasts free and without login to showcase the breadth of the service to new viewers.
  • January 2025In January 2025 Telekom and Euroleague Basketball announced a further three-season extension. Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and BKT EuroCup will remain on MagentaSport through the 2028/29 season.
  • August 2025Telekom raised MagentaSport subscription prices. Non-Telekom customers now pay €19.95 per month; Telekom customers pay €14.95. Annual plans stayed the better-value option at €14.95 and €9.95 per month respectively.
  • June 2026From 11 June 2026 MagentaSport airs all 104 FIFA World Cup matches in the USA, Canada and Mexico. Forty-four of them are exclusive, unavailable on ARD or ZDF.

Yes. Telekom holds the exclusive broadcast rights to every 3. Liga match. Neither DAZN nor Sky carries the third division live in Germany. ARD and regional free-to-air channels simulcast 68 of the 380 matches per season under a sublicence; the remaining 312 matches are exclusive to MagentaSport. The rights cover both the 2025/26 and 2026/27 seasons. MagentaSport is the only option for 3. Liga fans who want every match live.

MagentaSport runs in a browser and has apps for iOS, Android, Samsung Tizen smart TVs, LG webOS, Android TV, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV. The geo-block applies to all of these, so you need a German-server VPN active on the exact device you stream on, whether a phone, a laptop or a smart TV.
