How to Watch FanCode outside India: VPN Guide 2026
If you want every Formula 1 practice, qualifying lap and Grand Prix the way Indian motorsport fans get it, one app holds the keys. FanCode is the exclusive home of F1, F2, F3 and MotoGP in India, and from the 2025/26 season it streams all 91 Indian Super League matches as well. Run by Dream Sports, the Mumbai company behind Dream11, it launched in 2019 and now counts more than 100 million users.
There is one catch, and it is geography. The service only lets Indian IP addresses through, so the moment you sit down somewhere else, you hit a blank screen. A Surfshark with an Indian server fixes that by placing your connection inside India, so the catalogue loads exactly as it does back home. You still pay for your own subscription; the VPN only changes where you appear to be. Video runs up to 1080p across web, mobile and smart TVs.

Who’s behind the service?
What is FanCode
FanCode is India’s multi-sport streaming service, run out of Mumbai by Dream Sports, the company behind the Dream11 fantasy app, which launched the platform back in 2019. Watching it, though, only works from inside India. It happens to be the country’s exclusive home for Formula 1 along with F2, F3 and F1 Academy, and it also carries MotoGP, plenty of cricket, the Indian Super League, ATP tennis, PGA Tour golf and kabaddi. You can take out an Unlimited membership or just grab one-off passes for a tour, a single match or a whole season, and there’s a genuinely useful free tier on top with highlights, live scores and some live cricket. The service sailed past 100 million users in 2024.

Company and history
- Dream Sports launched FanCode as a sports streaming service for India. Founders Yannick Colaco and Prasana Krishnan built it around live matches, scores and statistics.
- The platform crossed 100 million users. By then it had streamed more than 50,000 matches across twelve sports, from cricket and football to Formula 1.
- FanCode secured Formula 1 rights in India, becoming a cheaper alternative to F1 TV. An annual pass cost a fraction of what rivals charged.
- Formula 1 extended its exclusive streaming deal with FanCode through 2028 and widened it to Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Practice, qualifying, sprints and races now carry Hindi and Tamil commentary.
- FanCode secured the exclusive TV and digital rights to the Indian Super League for 2025/26. All 91 league matches will stream here only, with no other service carrying them.

Tips & tricks you should know
5 tips from our FanCode testing team · Updated July 15, 2026
- Watch on more than one screen at once: a single FanCode account allows two simultaneous streams across phone, tablet, laptop, Smart TV or Google TV.
- For one event only, skip the membership and grab the Race Weekend Pass at Rs 99, which covers every practice, qualifying and race session of a single Grand Prix.
- FanCode is geo-locked to India and checks your IP, so connect through Surfshark to an Indian server before you open the app to stream from abroad.
- Going yearly pays off: the Rs 1,499 annual Unlimited works out to around a third less than paying Rs 199 every month for twelve months.
- Thanks to AI encoding from the Visionular partnership, you can watch 1080p on the bandwidth that used to deliver 720p, so keep quality high even on a shaky connection.
