Launched back in 1987 by the marketing arm of airline TWA to sell plane tickets, this travel-and-food channel has spent the decades reinventing itself into a paranormal-reality powerhouse. Today the cable network Travel Channel runs on ghost hunts led by Zak Bagans and Ghost Adventures, alongside Destination Fear, The Dead Files and Kindred Spirits — a sister to HGTV (renovation) and truTV (sports) that instead chases the dead, with its old travelogues now pushed to the edges of the schedule.
The channel runs only inside the United States under Warner Bros. Discovery, and there is no standalone subscription sold on its own. For on-demand episodes you reach for discovery+ or, after the content merge, the HBO Max app; for a live linear feed you pick Philo, usually the cheapest live route, or Sling Blue. A US viewer simply signs in, picks an investigation and streams in HD once the account and provider line up. Watching it elsewhere takes a US server from Surfshark plus an American login.

Travel Channel is a US cable network that launched in 1987 as a travel and food destination. Since its 2018 rebrand it has leaned hard into the paranormal, and today ghost hunting reality rules the schedule, led by Ghost Adventures with Zak Bagans. Its old travel and food roots now sit in the background. Owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, it has no standalone subscription: the on demand library lives on discovery+ and inside HBO Max, while the live channel streams via Philo and Sling. It is US only and geo blocked abroad.
