How to Watch FOX One from Anywhere: VPN Guide 2026
Fox Corporation rolled out its own app in August 2025, pulling the live FOX broadcast network, FS1, FS2, the Big Ten Network and the News, Business and Weather channels under one login. There are no scripted originals here, and that is the whole point. FOX One is a pure aggregator of Fox-owned channels, live and on demand, and through 2026 it doubles as the English-language home for all 104 World Cup matches in 4K. For an American sports fan it is a flagship; for everyone else it is a locked door.
The catch sits in the fine print: FOX One runs in the US and Mexico only, and it polices traffic hard. Log in from another country and playback stops with a location error. A premium Surfshark with fast American servers can park your connection in the States, though live sport at peak resolution over any tunnel can still stutter when the network is busy. You also need a US payment method to even register.

Quick answer
Can you watch FOX One from abroad?
Yes. The service launched stateside in August 2025 and works on Roku, Apple TV, Samsung, Fire TV and the major mobile platforms. You need a US payment method to subscribe, and playback is locked to the United States and Mexico. Traveling Americans who hit a location error can route a Surfshark through a US server to restore the feed, though the platform screens proxies hard and a live match at peak resolution may not always hold up.

⚠️
Steer clear of free VPNs. Most of them actually collect and sell your data, lack proper security audits, and can even expose you to malware. They’re also useless for streaming. Platforms block them instantly, leaving you with more headaches than solutions. Stick to paid VPNs with verified audits, like Surfshark, if you want something that actually works.

FOX One is Fox Corporation’s all in one streaming app, which gathers every FOX network under a single roof. You get both live TV and on demand viewing: the FOX broadcast channel, FOX Sports with FS1, FS2 and Big Ten Network, plus FOX News, FOX Business, FOX Weather and the Spanish language FOX Deportes. Do not come looking for original series here. The service has no exclusive shows of its own, and its real pull is FOX’s live sport and news. The headline event for 2026 is FOX’s exclusive coverage of the FIFA World Cup, all 104 matches streamed in 4K. It works only in the United States and Mexico, and it firmly blocks VPN workarounds everywhere else.

Company and history
Major changes
In June 2025 Fox Corporation announced the acquisition of Mexican sports brand Caliente TV, signaling the imminent arrival of its own direct-to-consumer streaming app.
Fox confirmed the launch date and price on August 5: the app would arrive August 21 at $19.99 a month, with a $199.99 annual plan and a seven-day free trial.
FOX One went live across web, mobile and connected TV in the US, bundling FOX, FS1, FS2, the Big Ten Network and the news channels into one app with no scripted originals.
A FOX One and ESPN bundle launched at $39.99 a month, combining live sport from both publishers; a FOX Nation bundle at $24.99 had already been offered from launch.
FOX One launched in Mexico via Claro Video at 175 pesos a month, replacing Caliente TV and becoming the service’s only second market alongside the US.
In Mexico the service expanded onto Amazon Prime Video as an add-on channel, giving Fox a second major distribution path alongside Claro Video and a planned Roku rollout.
With the World Cup kickoff, FOX One became the exclusive English-language streaming home of the tournament: all 104 matches live in 4K, backed by a multiview tool and real-time match stats.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before subscribing to FOX One.
In the US the service runs $19.99 a month or $199.99 a year, with a seven-day free trial at launch. A Fox Nation bundle costs $24.99 and a bundle with ESPN costs $39.99 monthly. Mexico has its own rate near 175 pesos. You need a US payment method to subscribe; a Surfshark restores access from a different location but never changes the price or who you pay.
Yes, and it is the flagship draw. FOX One is the exclusive English-language streaming home for all 104 World Cup matches, every game live in 4K with a multiview tool and real-time stats. US fans who hit a location error can route a Surfshark through a stateside server, though a live feed at peak resolution over any tunnel can occasionally buffer when the network is busy.
No. Unlike Hulu or Netflix, there are no scripted originals or exclusive series. It is an aggregator of Fox-owned live channels: the FOX broadcast network, FS1, FS2, the Big Ten Network and the News, Business and Weather feeds, plus an on-demand archive. If you want originals, a Surfshark pointed at this service is the wrong tool; the catalog is live TV, not a scripted library.
Sometimes. Fox is among the toughest at blocking proxy traffic, and FOX One flags free or small networks within seconds. To stand a chance you want a premium Surfshark with a large pool of US servers and fresh IP addresses. Even then, a live sports stream at peak resolution can stutter or fail, so treat VPN access as workable rather than guaranteed for marquee events.
It runs on Roku, Apple TV, Samsung and Vizio TVs, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Xbox, plus iPhone, iPad, Android and a web player. Device coverage is generous by US standards. None of it bypasses the geoblock, though: open the app from a different country and you reach only the sign-in screen unless a Surfshark and a US account are in place.
Fox Nation is a separate lifestyle and documentary service aimed at a conservative audience. FOX One is the live aggregator of Fox broadcast and sports channels. You can add Fox Nation as a bundle, but they are distinct products with different catalogs. Both share the same US and Mexico geoblock, so a Surfshark and a local account are needed from a different location.
At launch the service offered a seven-day free trial, during which it runs at no charge. You still register a US payment method up front, and the subscription renews automatically after the week unless you cancel. Away from the country you can only start the trial with a US account and a Surfshark connected to an American server, since signup is gated by location.
Yes. The Mexican version replaced Caliente TV in October 2025 and runs through Claro Video, Amazon Prime Video and Roku for roughly 175 pesos a month. Its rights lean toward Liga MX, the Premier League and the Champions League. It is the only second market beyond the US, so reaching either version from Europe still means a Surfshark pointed at a North American server.
The flagship feeds, above all the 2026 World Cup, stream in 4K, paired with multiview and real-time match stats. The quality you actually get still depends on your connection and device. Routing through a Surfshark can throttle throughput, so a live broadcast may not always hold its peak resolution end to end during a busy match window.
Beyond the World Cup, FOX One carries the channels behind NFL on FOX, college football and basketball on the Big Ten Network, MLB, NASCAR and motorsport, plus the News, Business and Weather feeds and FOX Deportes. It is a live-TV bundle rather than a back catalog. To reach any of it from a different country, you still need a Surfshark and a stateside account.
The service supports multi-screen viewing and a cloud DVR, so a household can follow different games at once. The exact number of simultaneous streams can vary by plan and region. Sharing past the home runs into the same geoblock: any device beyond the US and Mexico needs its own Surfshark and a North American IP address to play anything.
It depends on what you watch. For an American sports fan or anyone after the English-language World Cup, it is the only official route, and pairing a US account with a premium Surfshark makes sense. For general movies and series it does not, because there are no originals. Factor in that live sport at peak resolution over a VPN can occasionally drop frames.
