Rings of Power season 3 premieres on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video, and you will not be stuck with a single episode on premiere day: the first four drop at once. Episodes 5 and 6 follow on Wednesday, November 18, and the final two arrive on Wednesday, November 25. That makes eight episodes in three drops.
This season’s hooks are big. Galadriel’s long-lost husband, Celeborn, finally appears, played by Jamie Campbell Bower, and Simon Pegg gives voice to the Balrog. Sauron, meanwhile, is reaching for the One Ring. Below you will find the release schedule, the cast, a spoiler-free look at the story, audio and subtitle options, and how to keep watching your own Prime Video when you travel.
On Wednesday, November 11, 2026. Amazon confirmed the date on Monday, May 11, 2026, at its annual Upfront presentation in New York. According to Amazon, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has drawn more than 185 million viewers worldwide.
Rings of Power season 3 release schedule
Prime Video splits the season into three drops, all on Wednesdays:
Date

Episodes 1 to 4
Wednesday, November 18, 2026
Episodes 5 and 6

What time does season 3 release?
Amazon has not announced a release time yet. None of its official season 3 materials names an hour, so we will not guess one. We will add the time to this guide as soon as Amazon publishes it.
Where to watch The Rings of Power season 3
Only on Prime Video. The series is an Amazon original, and season 3 premieres exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories, the same worldwide rollout Amazon lists in its press schedules.
In the United States, Prime Video is included with a Prime membership, which costs $14.99 a month or $139 a year, and new members can start with a 30-day free trial. Outside the US, Amazon sends you to your local Amazon website for pricing. Our guide to watching Prime Video from anywhere covers the service beyond the US, and if you are trimming your monthly bills, see our roundup of the cheapest streaming services in 2026.
How to watch Prime Video abroad with a VPN
Season 3 streams in more than 240 countries, so the show itself will be there wherever you land. The catch is your account. If you subscribe in an EU country, portability rules let you use your home subscription as usual while you are temporarily abroad. Travel outside the EU, to the UK, Switzerland, the US or Asia, or stay abroad for longer, and Prime Video shows you the offer of the country you are in. The catalog, the interface language and the audio tracks all vary by country.
A VPN from our table fixes that. Connect to a server in your home country and your virtual location moves home, so your own Prime Video works the way it does on your couch: your home catalog, your interface language, your usual audio options. You still pay for your own Prime membership; a VPN does not make Prime Video free.

Amazon’s season 3 cast list also includes Lloyd Owen as Elendil, Maxim Baldry as Isildur, Trystan Gravelle as Pharazôn, Cynthia Addai-Robinson as Míriel, Ismael Cruz Córdova as Arondir, Ciarán Hinds as the Dark Wizard and Rory Kinnear as Tom Bombadil.

Our tip: Celeborn is the newcomer to watch. Amazon describes him only as Galadriel’s long-lost husband, which leaves the season plenty to reveal.
What is season 3 about?
Spoiler-free, and only what Amazon itself says. The series is set in the Second Age of Middle-earth, thousands of years before The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Season 3 picks up five years after the fall of Eregion, at the height of the War of the Elves and Sauron. Middle-earth is at war, and Sauron’s armies have marched across the world, conquering all in their path.
Only a few places still hold out. The Dwarves have sealed themselves deep inside the halls of Khazad-dûm, and the elven realms of Lindon and Rivendell are protected by the Three Rings. From his newly completed tower of Barad-dûr in Mordor, Sauron seeks to craft the One Ring. To stand a chance, the free peoples of Middle-earth (Dwarves, Elves, Men and Wizards) will have to unite.
What the trailer shows
Prime Video released the official trailer on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. It shows the peoples of Middle-earth fighting Sauron and his Orcs, tension among the Elves at the front, family conflict among the Dwarves of Khazad-dûm, Númenor on the brink of civil war and Gandalf in the eastern land of Rhûn. The standout line belongs to Galadriel: “All of it has come to this.”
Which audio and subtitles does season 3 have?
Before the premiere, the season 3 page on Prime Video, as it appears in the Czech catalog, lists English audio in 5.1 and English subtitles, alongside many other languages. We could not check the US or UK catalogs from our connection, so treat that as a strong hint, not a promise for your country.
Open the show page on premiere day to see the exact options where you live, and keep in mind that the page can still change before release. With a VPN from our table, your home account keeps your home audio and subtitle choices while you travel.
How to catch up on seasons 1 and 2
All 16 episodes of the first two seasons are streaming on Prime Video now, worldwide. The whole backstory sits on the same service as season 3, so there is nothing extra to sign up for.
Our tip: from October 28 to November 11 you have 14 days, so one episode a day plus a double bill on Saturday, October 31, and Saturday, November 7, gets you to the premiere on time. When you finish, our top 10 of what to watch on Prime Video has more to fill the days between drops.
Will there be a season 4?
As of October 26, 2026, Amazon has not officially announced a fourth season. We will update this guide if that changes.
To sum up: Wednesday, November 11 for episodes 1 to 4, November 18 for episodes 5 and 6, and November 25 for the finale. If you are traveling outside the EU in November, set up a VPN from our table before you leave, so your own Prime Video is ready when the first four episodes drop.
